The German Indian Innovation Corridor is a vision and mission to bundle the many roads and partnerships between both countries into one express highway. We aim to bring together stakeholders from politics, business, academia, and development cooperation to speed up innovation partnerships, facilitate cross-border collaboration, and accelerate the implementation of digitalization efforts.

WHAT WE PROPOSE

While there are a number of strong intermediaries and organizations that support collaboration between the two countries, we specifically see a gap in the areas of innovation, technology exchange, and cooperation. Our mission is to enable innovation at speed and foster mutual economic development by creating a more concerted effort in German-Indian relationships. We fill the existing gaps by combining different initiatives and focusing on raw innovation.

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of German and Indian professionals from the fields of business, politics, administration, and academia, with years of experience in bridging relations between the two countries. We see a window of opportunity to prioritize German-Indian relations on the political and economic agenda. We strongly believe that both countries would benefit from closer and more intensified relationships, and the time is now!

The German Indian Innovation Council (GIIC) is currently in the process of establishing itself as a non-profit organization in Germany (gemeinnütziger Verein; e.V.) with both institutional and individual members, as well as an institutional counterparts in India.
